Mini Burning Journal

Had a spark of inspiration last week. Which was what I really needed; a spark to ignite my creativity again, which has kinda fizzled a bit.
-Mini "Burning Journal"
Trying out "newspaper" paper. It's thin and lightweight. ... and a weird shape. 6in x 9in. I had to learn how to adjust my printer's custom print size. And tweak the lined paper to print out so that it was big enough to write on, but small enough to hold more than
a few sentences.
It took a few fails (I do like scrap paper - and hey! Now it's lined scrap, perfect for quick grocery lists!) but I finally got it right. It didn't really want to print just one page at a time either. It's so thin that 75% of the time it'll grab a handful of pages. So I stood ready to catch all the papers as they tumbled out with the one printed page. Wish I'd gotten video of me talking to my printer. "Oh, you're gonna grab 9 of the 10 pages we need?! Nice dude. GEH! Wait! Crap crap crap..." *more pages flop out* I do love a challenge! And it was pretty amusing to guess how many pages were gonna churn out. I actually got excited when 3 pages would print in a row withOut the extras! 🤣
I also love hoarding craft supplies. You never know when you'll need those random weird things! Awhile ago I was allowed to take about a dozen "books" of fabric and leather samples from a store that was closing that I worked in. It just so happens that the leather is the Perfect size for this mini journal (again.. it's 6in x 9in .. about as big as my hand).
I'll post the finished journal hopefully soon. And maybe even a back story .. I'll let the receiver decide later. It's been a blessing to me to make it, having my creativity back, and I hope that it blesses the one who is getting it.
